Monster Truck Ballerina

Weird fact about me: I love Monster Truck Rallies! When I was living in Indiana, The Grave Digger lived near me. Since my fashion choices are most moved by nostalgia, whenever I'm feeling whimsical and a bit homesick, I pair my monster truck t-shirt with something girly. Yesterday, I paired my monster truck shirt with the tulle lined skirt I got in Boston. Whenever I wear tulle, I feel like a little kid ballerina:

shirt: Monster Truck Rally, Salinas CA
skirt: Second Time Around (Boston)
shoes: Toms Shoes

tomsToms Shoes are awesome. For every pair you buy, they give a pair of shoes to a child in need. And they don't just ship the shoes; a team hand delivers them and they personally put them on the feet of the children. Blake Mycoskie, the founder of Toms, spoke at my church a couple of years ago, and it was so neat to here his vision for the company. I really wanted to support him and the Toms cause, so I bought the plaid picnic Toms. They are, by far, the most comfortable shoes I own, and I'm surprised they've held up so well in the 2.5 years I've had them. Last spring, I added the brown suede and pewter glitter Toms to my shoe collection, too.

If you've been thinking about getting a pair of Toms, please feel free to click on my TOMS affiliate ad in my side bar and use the code "firstTOMS" for $5 off. I know you may not have heard of The Grave Digger, but I hope you've heard of Toms Shoes. If you haven't, be sure to check' em out.
